Hand Therapist - P/T or F/T in Northridge / Thousand Oaks / Westlake Village

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist with a passion for upper extremity rehabilitation to join our growing clinical team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive hand therapy services — from evaluation through discharge — working with patients across a diverse spectrum of acute and chronic conditions affecting the hands, wrists and elbows. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a highly experienced, close-knit clinical team that takes pride in clinical excellence, thoughtful communication with referring physicians, and meaningful outcomes for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Care

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients with upper extremity conditions, including fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, arthritis, post-operative cases, CRPS, burns, and repetitive strain injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with referring physicians.
  • Deliver skilled interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, physical agent modalities, wound and scar management, desensitization, functional activity training and more.
  • Design, fabricate, and fit custom orthoses for a wide range of upper extremity diagnoses.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, joint protection techniques, energy conservation strategies, and adaptive equipment as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation in compliance with payer requirements, state regulations, practice standards, and company policies.
  • Ensure appropriate billing documentation, including treatment codes, units, and diagnosis codes.
  • Adhere to HIPAA standards and all applicable state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy practice.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Collaborate with co-treating therapists and therapy aides to ensure seamless, efficient and effective patient care.
  • Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and mentorship as needed.
  • Pursue ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain clinical excellence and advance toward hand therapy certification (CHT) if not already attained.
  • Contribute positively to the clinic’s culture of learning, teamwork, and patient advocacy.

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications

  • Graduate degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current California OT license (OTR/L) in good standing
  • Current NBCOT certification
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and referring providers
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hand therapy or upper extremity rehabilitation (new graduates with strong clinical interest welcome)
  • Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) or pursuit of CHT eligibility
  • Certification in Physical Agent Modalities (PAMs) Experience with orthotic fabrication
  • Familiarity with physician collaboration and progress reporting workflows
